As a child in the school yards of St. Petersburg Florida Founder of the Chitlins brand chef Edouardo Jordan, remembers getting ridiculed after sharing stories of the foods his family eat. So embarrassed and shames Edouardo pledged to name talk about this culture and foods anymore. It wasnt until nearly 25 years he was able to muster enough courage to speak proudly about this history. HISTORY

Chitlins also known as chitterlings are the unwanted off cuts known as offals of the pig. These offals are found in the digestive system and are commonly identified as the large intestines. When slavery was legal in America, slave owners commonly fed their slaves as cheaply as possible. At hog butchering time, the best cuts of meat were kept for the master's household and the remainder, such as fatback, snouts, ears, neck bones, feet, and intestines, were given to the slaves. Chitlins have since become a regular part of many southerns diets and family traditions. Chef Jordan brings Chitlins together with fashion to make a statement. Chitlins are no longer the unwanted remenice of pork. Chitlins are a movement. Chitlins represents the perseverance, preservation, and survival. Chitlins represents turning hardships inside out and the ability to make something out of nothing.
