The Food with Roots started with Pimento Cheese and has grown into a food company showcasing flavors and ingredients from our culture. While running award-winning restaurants in Seattle, WA, the demand from our guests for our unique, delicious Southern staples outside of the restaurants continued and we listened.

The Food with Roots was founded in 2019 to create an outlet for folks to enjoy our delicious spreads, dressings, breads, spices, and clothing. We began hearing that our food is a perfect late night snack, the talk of the BBQ, the treat used to jazz up their meal--however you decide to use it, our goodies will do the job.


Food with Roots is a small, Black, family-owned business located in Seattle, WA. Our products are a celebration of our heritage and homage to tradition. We reclaim the past and give it a new life through Chef-driven food and fashion straight from the Pacific Northwest.
